Where to Start As a (Insert Your Niche) Small Business?

Every small business owner aspires to be on their own one day. For someone like me it starts with a laptop, for some it’s an office space, and eventually this *ASPIRATION* turns into a *DREAM* that they can never stop thinking about.

I can imagine it too. In fact, right now as I’m typing down this blog, I’m thinking this to myself:

  • I am not self independent - I am self sufficient.

  • I am not mean to people - I am good to myself.

  • I am not incapable - I am learning.

“Come on, Anmol. These don’t relate to the article.”

I know but this is where you start. Changing your perception about yourself is where you start! The moment you do that...

You Can Learn New Things by YOURSELF

Sure, it’s easy to depend on someone else for your decisions. We always start out as students (dependants). First under our parents, then our school/ college teachers, and eventually under someone as a boss. But if you *WANT TO BE YOUR OWN BOSS*, you have to learn to make your own decisions and decide what is best for you!

And that begins when you take a leap of faith in yourself and also maybe, God too.

Once You’ve Done That…

Like you’ve made a decision to open your own small business, the question that will arise - WHERE DO I START?

“You start where you stop making excuses”

Saying things like these “I don’t have enough time or resources” or “I need better quality materials that they have” will only become the obstacles in your way that you NEED to avoid.

Instead, go for it with what you have right now. Do it messy, make mistakes, but just DO IT!

I Know These Things are Easier Said Than Done!

I wouldn’t be writing these words for you if I didn’t know the importance of listening to someone else saying them! I know how moving it is to receive the same thing from around you that you were looking for.

Now, all you have to do is read these words, register them in your mind and DO IT!

Make that Instagram profile (Creator, not Business); Create that website; Release that new product; and Start working to be consistent. You’ll love the results that your *first step* will bring.

Keep going, my loves!

I’m here to help you in crocheting and knitting through your small business journey. I’m not only here to share tips and tricks on how you can follow a pattern and make yourself a gorgeous top but also, how you can sell it and make money for an even more beautiful top for yourself!

For all that, make sure you subscribe to my newsletter so you don’t miss a single blog release.

Until next time!

Nice article! Would you also cover credits in the creative world? The craft is rather traditional and there are many learning tools online. How do copyrights or the lack of it affect small business and creators?
